We've moved and changed our name!
The Baldwin Players has been reborn in January 2015 as The South Hills Players. Of the many names suggested, (The
Players, Steel City Players, Just Dessert Players, etc), we choose The South Hills Players because of its simplicity and our wider community audience base.
After a half-century at The Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, the Players and the church parted company in 2014. And with that separation, so went the name since the original company was founded 58 years ago as an umbrella organization of the church.
Our new site is the Evangelical Lutheran Church at 935 Pine Avenue in Castle Shannon. Our first show, which opens March 20th, will be Ken Ludwig's farce, "The Fox on the Fairway."
The biggest change will be the elimination of our dinners and
replacing them with individual dessert service. We will be taking reservations for the show only and charging individual prices for the desserts.
As Patrons you still receive two free show tickets. But now you will not have to pay in advance for the dessert service so
you can indulge or not. Of course, the desserts will be so tempting you cannot resist.
Ticket prices remain at $12 each for 2015. Reservations are done the same way as before. Call 412-881-1002.
Performance dates are March 20, 21, 27-28 at 8 p.m. and March 22,29 at 2 p.m.
The Fellowship Hall at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church is little smaller than our previous venue but we will still be using our
table setup. This show will be presented in "thrust" design rather than in the round. So as before, seating will be reserved in the order of
We will be moving our website to thesouthhillsplayers.org. This website will launch soon.
